No matter what type of business that you’re in, you depend on your network to keep your team connected, to take orders, and to do research. Even the most low-tech companies find themselves coming to a screeching halt when they experience downtime.
Network Services Group is Arkansas’ leading network services provider, and we’re a phone call away when you have questions about cloud-based server and exchange hosting, VOIP telephony, or managed IT solutions. We deliver 99.9% network uptime to all of our clients, and we’re ready to help you keep your business connected. Here are a few things to keep in mind when considering your office’s networking needs:
- Bandwidth-The internet is often compared to a highway, and we all know what happens when there aren’t enough lanes to handle the traffic. The good news is that high-speed internet plans are now more affordable than ever, and you don’t have to try to squeeze by with less bandwidth than you need. Be sure to monitor your office’s internet usage, and be prepared to upgrade your plan as your business grows.
- Hardware-It may be tempting to hold on to older equipment, because it still functions, and it’s paid for. But this is often false economy because of how quickly that technology advances. If your office’s computers and telephone hardware are nearing the end of their operational lifespan, upgrades are typically more affordable than you think.
- Software-Operating systems, productivity software, and antivirus definitions need to be updated frequently. This important step can be done automatically over the internet during off-peak hours, but you need to implement systems to keep all software current.
- Backups-It’s crucial to backup all of your files locally several times a day, and to redundant offsite servers on a daily basis. And it’s equally important to secure your files with encryption to make sure that none of your customer or internal business data falls into the wrong hands.
The internet has revolutionized the way that we do business, and staying connected is a vital component of customer satisfaction. If you ever have any questions, click here, or give us a call at (501)758-6058, and let us show you how affordable it is to keep your office connected!

Everyone knows that computer systems and the Internet have advanced, seemingly at a lightning pace, with commonplace capabilities that were unheard of just a few years (or even months) ago.
But, what about the lowly landline?
That may be how we think of it but there’s nothing lowly about it, and as often as not, it isn’t even a landline. Business telephone services encompass a wide variety of systems and types of operations which render visions of the old desktop handset as obsolete as “The Phone Company” of decades past.
At Network Services Group (NSG), we specialize in providing you with the most up-to-date business voice services, but instead of forcing you to fit into a handful of plan options, we tailor your options to how you do business. That way, you get the services you need without having to pay for the ones you don’t, and you can have your system reconfigured as your business grows and your needs change.
Chances are, if you have a conventional type of business phone services contract, you’re spending money on a plan that doesn’t fit as well as it did when new but, because you’re stuck in a contract, you have to make do with because there’s no one to negotiate with. At NSG, it’s a point of pride that we are as unconventional as possible, because that enables us to save you money by negotiating on your behalf should a lower rate become available.
Whether you opt for a cloud-based or on premise telephone solution, NSG can provide businesses of any size, large or small, with the modern, sophisticated voice system needed to provide you with the capabilities you need without weighing you down under a lot of features you aren’t going to use. Our experienced techs design, implement and maintain business telephone systems that support your business, not weigh it down.
Call NSG today at 501-758-6058 or contact us online and we can have you paying less for more, whether replacing an existing service or building a new one from the ground up.

Like many companies, you didn’t have the budget for a full-fledged IT department but you did have some in-house networking knowledge to draw on, so you took what you had and ran with it.
Unfortunately, what works to put a small network together in the beginning can wind up as a tangled mess as your needs grow. Think of it like this. When your network consisted of three machines, Bill in accounting connected them, and it was good. Because Bill was handy like that.
But, when you needed to add a machine, Bill was gone, so Joan from sales was able to figure out Bill’s work and make the proper connections.
Fast forward 10 years and Fred (mailroom), who set up the email system is hiking the Himalayas in search of truth, Brice (accounts receivable), who tied the printer into the network, retired to a coffee plantation in Panama, and Freda (receptionist), who connected the new phones, was recruited by the CIA to design covert communications monitoring systems from a nondescript building deep inside an undisclosed location near a bar where nobody knows her name.
In the meantime, your network, cobbled together by a half-dozen people who never met, has collapsed under the weight of all that chewing gum and baling wire. An IT nightmare is born.
If you think our attempt at humor isn’t funny, you’re right, because we aren’t comedians. We’re IT professionals and the above scenario is anything but funny, especially if it happens to YOUR business.
Regardless of the state of your network array (or disarray) Network Services Group can help. Our depth of knowledge and experience can turn your IT nightmares into a dream come true.
We offer Managed IT Services that are second to none, with a Backups and Disaster Recovery System guaranteed to keep your data safe from virtually anything man or nature can throw your way. Our Voice and Data Carrier Services will catapult your communications to the next level, where you’ll pay less for more instead of more for less.
Call us today at 501-758-6058 or contact us online and we’ll get started today designing a service package tailored to your needs. Not the other way around.

Every business has different needs when it comes to telephone service, but the one need that they all have in common is the need to manage costs. This is every bit as true for a large company as it is for a small one. And when you think of the modern workplace, how often do you see employees spending all day sitting at desks or in cubicles? Traditional telephone service certainly has its limitations.
VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) service for your office is a great way to keep a modern workforce connected. VOIP converts analog voice data into a digital signal, and transmits it over the Internet in real time. And it’s a cloud-based system that doesn’t require a lengthy installation. Setup is easy, and VOIP-enabled telephone hardware is typically all that you need. Here are a few of the benefits of VOIP:
Flexibility
With VOIP, you have the ability to make calls from your laptop, forward calls to mobile phones, and have the phone ring simultaneously on multiple devices. Conference calls can be accessed from an unlimited number of sites with no reduction in signal quality. And VOIP systems are scalable, so it’s easy to add or remove lines of service as you change personnel.
Integration
VOIP telephones connect seamlessly with your cloud-based exchange system, so you can receive a digital copy of voicemail messages in your email. And you never have to worry about having the most current versions of software. Upgrades are automatically downloaded as they become available, and typically don’t require you to invest in new hardware.
Savings
The telecommunications industry is incredibly competitive, and this is great news for consumers. NSG currently works with 35 different providers to make sure that you always receive the best rates on your service, and VOIP clients can expect to receive up to 70 percent savings on their current telephone bill.
At Network Services Group, we know that keeping your team connected is a vital part of growing your business, and our team is standing by to show you how affordable that VOIP can be. VOIP can do everything that traditional telephony can do, plus a lot more. If you haven’t made the switch yet, you’re probably paying too much.
